My time here at CGA has been full of wonderful things. I’m learning a lot, creating wonderful friendships, and growing in my relationship with God. One of the best memories of the semester, though, came yesterday. What happened is that I finally proposed to the love of my life, who is also here at CGA with me!

It was a beautiful scene and I won’t tell the whole story in this blog, but it was so awesome because I had the opportunity to propose where we first met! It was such a wonderful moment and full of so many memories, while at the same time, making some pretty sweet new ones.

My journey with Katherine has been crazy and amazing so far. We first met when we co-led a three month mission trip to Swaziland back in January 2015. After those short three months, I knew I loved her. It sucked though because we were about to be away from each other for a month and she had committed to being single for a full year which would not be up until November. From May until the beginning of December, I only got to see her for a total of about two and half weeks. We were always far from each other, whether it was Nicaragua to Illinois, Thailand to Peru, Texas to Illinois, or Texas to Ecuador, we were always so far from each other. But November came and she finally got to come visit me in Texas. We began our wonderful relationship and haven’t looked back since.

I’m so very excited to be starting this next journey while we are still here at CGA and am looking forward to all of the wonderful memories that we will make during our last month at CGA!
